Agilus is recruiting for a Project Manager in the Construction industry in Ottawa, Ontario. Our client is looking to hire a Project Manager who will be responsible to plan, manage, oversee municipal sewer and watermain construction projects from pre-construction through close-out and lead all phases of project execution, including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Total rewards:- $100000.00 - $120000.00 annually

Responsibilities:- Plan, manage, and oversee municipal sewer and watermain construction projects from pre-construction through close-out and lead all phases of project execution, including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, construction, and commissioning
- Develop and manage project schedules, cost controls, cash flow forecasts, and progress reporting and coordinate and supervise site superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, inspectors, and suppliers
- Serve as the primary point of contact with municipal clients, consulting engineers, inspectors, and regulatory authorities and review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, contracts, and tender documents
- Manage change orders, RFIs, shop drawings, progress claims, and contract documentation and ensure compliance with municipal standards, contract requirements, environmental regulations, and safety legislation
- Proactively identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain schedule and budget and monitor field operations to ensure quality workmanship, productivity, and adherence to specifications
- Oversee health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices on site, promoting a strong safety culture and coordinate utility locates, traffic control plans, dewatering, shoring, and sequencing of underground works
- Track and manage material deliveries, equipment utilization, and subcontractor performance and prepare and present progress updates, cost reports, and forecasts to senior management
- Support tendering activities by providing constructability input, cost estimates, and schedules as required and lead project close-out activities, including as-built documentation, deficiencies, and final acceptance
Successful candidates will have:- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- 7–10+ years of experience in municipal infrastructure construction
- 5+ years of project management experience on sewer, watermain, and storm drainage projects
- Proven experience managing projects from pre-construction through close-out and demonstrated experience working directly with municipal owners, consulting engineers, and inspectors

- Strong understanding of:
Storm, sanitary, and watermain construction methods ,
Services, manholes, catch basins, valves, hydrants, and appurtenances
- Ability to review and interpret drawings, specifications, tender documents, and contracts
- Ability to proactively identify and mitigate cost, schedule, and constructability risks
